There’s a new king of Wolfe County Health and Rehabilitation Center: Tribute Artist Terry Turner. The Alabama native, known for his uncanny Elvis impression, came to the WCHRC and although, it was 35 degrees outside but it felt like “Blue Hawaii” inside the facility.

Turner, with his red rhinestone shirt, jet-black hair and sideburns that became synonymous with Elvis, put the female residents into a frenzy with his performance of classic rock and love songs. Turner also did covers of Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Tom Jones to compliment his Elvis Presley songs. As Turner stung away on his guitar and his voice boomed throughout the room, the feet of staff and residents couldn’t help but tap their feet and move to the tunes.

After the performance was over, WCHRC was no “Heartbreak Hotel” because it seemed as if every woman in the facility wanted a picture with Turner and a chance to talk to him, which he was happy to oblige.
