The other day, Wolfe County Senior Citizens and Wolfe County Protection and Permanency held a child/elder abuse walk to raise public awareness of abuse. The blue ribbon represents children and the purple elders. Some of the residents and staff of Wolfe County Health and Rehabilitation Center participated in this walk. The theme was BREAK THE SILENCE STOP THE ABUSE. Residents are very blessed to have these organizations and their leaders in the county. The residents enjoyed seeing the senior citizens, high school students, and others from the community.
