Residents and staff at Wolfe County Health and Rehabilitation Center made s’mores and roasted marshmallows as we watched the Perseid Meteor Shower.
These showers tend to peak around August 9-13. During its peak, 60-100 meteors can be seen in an hour. We saw eight meteors that night. The residents had a blast! The clouds cut our time short, but we’re already planning for next year’s meteor watch.
Wolfe County Health Care Center is a 100-bed nursing facility located in the Southeastern Kentucky town of Campton. We provide many services including 24-hour nursing, physician, radiology, laboratory and pharmacy services. We also offer Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy.
