Wolfe County Health and Rehab would like to announce that we are collecting shoeboxes for children again this year. Many orphanages and needy children receive these boxes and that will be their only gift this year for Christmas. Millions of children have received these presents and we are hoping to put a smile on many more kids faces this year.

All you need to do is determine the age and gender you wish to send a gift to. Boy or girl ages 2-4; 5-9; or 10-14. We have labels for the box here at the facility. Then fill a box (standard shoe box or a plastic container size of shoebox).

Some items suggested are hygiene items, toothbrushes, school supplies, toys, flashlights, jewelry, ball caps, batteries for toys that you pack if needed, personal note / photo and your address so they can write back to you a thank you. Maybe even one larger toy to “wow” them is a good idea too. You can wrap the box, but please wrap the lid separate from the lid. Put $7 in the box to pay for shipping from the drop off location to the country.

Please do not include used or damaged items, war related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; out of date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins, breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers or aerosol cans.

Then bring the box to us and we will have them delivered to Samaritans’ Purse.
Time is of the essence. Drop off date ends on November 20th at Wolfe County Health and Rehab. We will be taking to the send-off location on November 22nd.

Thank you so much for helping us give back to the community.
